Heute war ein ganz besonderer Tag für einige Mitglieder des Kambengo Gambia Vereins. Auch in diesem Jahr durften wir wieder am Tag der offenen Tür unserer Partnerschule, der Grundschule Wilhelm Buschin Königs Wusterhausen, teilnehmen. Diese Gelegenheit nutzen wir jedes Jahr, um an unserem Stand von unseren Projekten in Gambia zu berichten, die Kinder mit kleinen Mitbringseln aus Gambia zu überraschen und ihnen Freude zu bereiten. Besonders beliebt sind die Perlen-Krokodile 🐊. Diese kleinen handgefertigten Kunstwerke aus bunten Perlen zaubern den Kindern stets ein Lächeln ins Gesicht. Es ist immer wieder schön zu sehen, wie sehr sich die Kinder über die afrikanische Kleinkunst freuen.
Doch nicht nur die Perlen-Krokodile finden großen Anklang. Die Kinder erinnerten sich auch noch lebhaft an die Kakteen von Otmar, die in den vergangenen Jahren an unserem Stand zu finden waren . Sie fragten nach, ob wir wieder auch in diesem Jahr Kakteen mitgebracht hätten. Vielleicht kann Otmar uns beim nächsten Mal wieder mit seinen grünen Schätzen unterstützen und den Kindern der Grundschule Wilhelm Busch eine zusätzliche Freude bereiten.
Unser Stand hat sich, wie uns Frau Liebermann, die Schulleitung der Grundschule Wilhelm Busch, mitteilte, zu einem festen Bestandteil des Schullebens entwickelt. Die Kinder freuen sich jedes Jahr darauf, unseren Stand zu besuchen und mehr über das Land und die Menschen in Gambia zu erfahren. Es erfüllt uns mit Stolz und Freude, dass unsere Anwesenheit so gut bei den Kindern und auch den Eltern ankommt. Wir werden stets mit offenen Armen empfangen und können somit auch einen wichtigen Beitrag für einen interkulturellen Austausch und Toleranz leisten.
Wir freuen uns schon auf die kommenden Jahre und darauf, auch zukünftig weiterhin bei solchen Anlässen dabei sein zu können. Die positiven Rückmeldungen bestärken uns in unserem Engagement und motivieren uns, auch in Zukunft unser Bestes zu geben, um die Verbindung zwischen unserer Partnerschule und dem Kambengo-Project-Gambia e.V. zu stärken.
Im Namen des Kambengo-Project-Gambia e.V. bedanken wir uns nochmals bei der Grundschule Wilhelm Buschfür die herzliche Einladung und freuen uns auf weitere gemeinsame Veranstaltungen. Gemeinsam für eine bessere Zukunft – das ist unser Motto und wir sind stolz darauf, dies auch gemeinsam mit unserer Partnerschule zu leben und zu erleben.
Die Vorbereitung auf die nationalen Abschlussprüfungen der Klasse 9 haben großen Erfolg gezeigt. Diese Prüfungsvorbereitungen helfen den Schülern, Vertrauen zu gewinnen und sich ohne Angst den nationalen Prüfungen zu stellen.
Diese Vorbereitungen haben einen bemerkenswerten Erfolg gezeigt und die Verpflichtung der Institution zur akademischen Exzellenz und Schülererfolg demonstriert. A). MOCK EXAMINATIONS FOR CLASS 9

The ongoing activities at the UBS are two, Mock Examinations for the Class 9 students in preparation for their final exams which will be in early July and continuous teaching and learning for Class 7 and 8.

The mock examinations have demonstrated remarkable success, showcasing the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and student achievement. This Mock Exam is organized by the school to prepare the class 9 students before their final national examination. We believe giving them this exams at school level will enable them to have the confidence and courage to do the final exam national exams without any pressure or fear.

Creating a home science classroom with an attached kitchen can be a fantastic addition to any educational setting.By following this recommendation you can create a vibrant home science classroom and kitchen that fosters learning, creativity, and practical life skills for students of all ages.
Above are some of the recommendations that will enable the school to progress more for effective teaching and learning to take place in the school. With the availability of the above recommendations, the students will no more face challenges in understanding some practical topics and will encourage them to be more creative and develop critical thinking skills.

Seit dem 15. April sind die Klassenzimmer wieder mit Leben gefüllt, als die Schule den regulären Unterrichtsbetrieb in allen Klassenstufen wieder aufgenommen hat. Die Lehrer setzten genau dort fort, wo sie im zweiten Semester aufgehört hatten, und sorgen für einen reibungslosen Übergang in den schulischen Alltag.
Um den akademischen Fortschritt der Schüler zu messen wurden Prüfungen durchgeführt. Diese Prüfungen umfassten alle Kernfächer und boten einen klaren Einblick in die Stärken und Entwicklungsbereiche der Schüler. Sowohl Eltern als auch Schüler wurden über die Ergebnisse informiert, um den zukünftigen Unterricht gezielt und individuell zu gestalten. Unsere Lehrer arbeiten intensiv daran, maßgeschneiderte Lernstrategien zu entwickeln, die sicherstellen, dass jeder Schüler die bestmögliche Unterstützung erhält und erfolgreich sein kann.
Zur Vorbereitung auf die bevorstehenden offiziellen Nationalen Bewertungstests führten die Schüler der 5 Klasse einen Übungstest durch. Dieser Übungstest half den Schülern, sich mit dem Prüfungsformat und den Fragetypen vertraut zu machen, denen sie begegnen werden. Die Lehrer konnten anhand der Ergebnisse des Tests gezielt Stärken und Schwächen identifizieren und ihre Bemühungen auf die Bereiche konzentrieren, die mehr Aufmerksamkeit erfordern. Der Übungstest bot den Schülern eine wertvolle Gelegenheit, sich an die Prüfungsbedingungen zu gewöhnen und ihr Selbstvertrauen zu stärken. Die offiziellen Prüfungen finden am 26. und 27. Juni 2024 statt.
Presseklub-Aktivität
Ein besonderer Erfolg war die Gedichtstunde, die der Presseclub am vergangenen Freitag veranstaltete. Schüler aus verschiedenen Klassenstufen trugen ihre selbst geschriebenen Gedichte vor und bewiesen dabei große Originalität und Kreativität. Diese Veranstaltung bot eine wunderbare Gelegenheit für die Schüler, ihre Fähigkeiten im öffentlichen Sprechen zu verbessern und ihre Talente vor einem Publikum zu präsentieren. Das Talent und der Enthusiasmus der Schüler waren äußerst inspirierend, und wir hoffen, in Zukunft noch mehr Veranstaltungen mit dem Schwerpunkt Literatur und Selbstdarstellung durchführen zu können.

MONTHLY ASSESSMENT

To measure our students‘ academic progress, we administered assessments every month. All of the core subjects were covered in these exams, which were intended to highlight students‘ strengths and areas for development. Parents and students have been informed of the findings in order to inform future instruction. To ensure that every student has the chance to succeed, teachers are currently developing individualised strategies to support each student’s learning journey.
GRADE 5 NAT TRIAL ( MOCK )
31st may and 1st June
To get students ready for the impending official National Assessment Tests (NAT), a practice test was conducted. Students were able to become more accustomed to the format and kinds of questions they would encounter thanks in large part to this practice exam. Teachers can concentrate their efforts on areas that need more attention by using the mock test results to identify strengths and weaknesses. All things considered, the mock test provided a great chance for students to get comfortable with exam conditions and boost their confidence.
The scheduled date for the NAT Exam is 26th and 27th June 2024
PRESS CLUB ACTIVITY
It was a great success that the Press Club hosted a special poetry session this past Friday. Students reciting poems they had written themselves represented a variety of grade levels. Students were able to showcase their originality and hone their public speaking abilities through this event. The pupils‘ talent and excitement were incredibly motivating. We hope to see more literary-focused and self-expression-focused events in the future.

Lehrplan KNS
Zusätzlich unterrichtet unser Koran-Lehrer die Kinder in den arabischen Buchstaben des Alphabets und deren Aussprache mit den drei Vokallauten. Dies ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil unseres Lehrplans, um eine ganzheitliche Bildung zu fördern.
Das Schulfrühstück läuft wie gewohnt hervorragend. Kinder, Lehrer und das nicht lehrende Personal genießen täglich köstliche Mahlzeiten, die von unseren talentierten Köchen zubereitet werden. Dieses Projekt ist besonders wichtig, da viele unserer Schüler aus benachteiligten Verhältnissen kommen. Wir danken Ihnen herzlich für Ihre großzügige Unterstützung, die dieses Projekt ermöglicht.
Jeden Morgen beginnen unsere Schüler ihren Tag, indem sie auf dem Schulgelände ihre Zähne putzen. Diese Routine fördert nicht nur die Zahnhygiene, sondern auch die Verantwortung für die eigene Gesundheit.
Ein besonderes Highlight ist derzeit die Mangoernte auf dem Schulgelände. Die reifen Mangos werden von den Kindern und Lehrern gleichermaßen genossen – ein erfrischender und gesunder Snack, der allen viel Freude bereitet.
Am 25. Mai 2024 feierten wir den Afrika-Befreiungstag, der offiziell am Montag, den 27. Mai 2024, begangen wurde. Dieser Feiertag bietet eine wertvolle Gelegenheit, über die Geschichte und die Errungenschaften des afrikanischen Kontinents nachzudenken und zu feiern.
Das Lehrerteam vor Ort arbeitet engagiert die Schüler zu erziehen und ihnen positive Einstellungen und Werte zu vermitteln. Gemeinsam schaffen wir eine unterstützende und inspirierende Lernumgebung für alle Kinder.

The Quranic teacher is teaching the kids Arabic letters of the alphabet and how to pronounce the three vowel sounds.

The feeding is going on as usual. The children, teachers and non teaching staff are enjoying the environment with delicious food from the cooks. It is an important project for the school children because some kids are from poor back ground. We really thank you for your great support.

The mangoes in the school are ripe, the kids and the teachers are enjoying the fresh fruits.
We had a public holiday (Africa liberation day) which falls on the 25th May, 2024 but it was officially observed on Monday 27th May, 2024.
In conclusion, we are working here as a team to educate the kids and instill a good attitude in them.
