Bericht über die laufenden Aktivitäten an der UBS

Die Vorbereitung auf die nationalen Abschlussprüfungen der Klasse 9 haben großen Erfolg gezeigt. Diese Prüfungsvorbereitungen helfen den Schülern, Vertrauen zu gewinnen und sich ohne Angst den nationalen Prüfungen zu stellen.

Diese Vorbereitungen haben einen bemerkenswerten Erfolg gezeigt und die Verpflichtung der Institution zur akademischen Exzellenz und Schülererfolg demonstriert. Diese Vorbereitung wird von der Schule organisiert, um die Schüler der Klasse 9 auf ihre abschließende Nationale Prüfung vorzubereiten. Wir glauben, dass diese Prüfungen auf Schulebene ermöglichen, das Vertrauen und den Mut zu haben, die abschließenden nationalen Prüfungen ohne Druck oder Angst zu bestehen.

*REPORT ON THE ONGOING ACTIVITIES AT THE UBS*

A). MOCK EXAMINATIONS FOR CLASS 9

 *Introduction:*

The  ongoing activities at the UBS are two, Mock Examinations for the Class 9 students in preparation for their final exams which will be in early July and continuous teaching and learning for Class 7 and 8.

The above ongoing activities are explain in detail below.

The mock examinations have demonstrated remarkable success, showcasing the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and student achievement. This Mock Exam is organized by the school to prepare the class 9 students before their final national examination. We believe giving them this exams at school level will enable them to have the confidence and courage to do the final exam national exams without any pressure or fear.

This report provides an overview of the factors contributing to this success and highlights key observations from the examination process.

 *Key Observations* :

1. Rigorous Preparation: Teachers and students alike have demonstrated a strong commitment to thorough preparation for the examinations. The syllabus coverage has been comprehensive, ensuring that students are well-equipped to tackle the assessment challenges. Extra classes are organized both in the evening and night in order to prepare them well for the examination.

2. Effective Assessment Methods: The examination papers have been designed to assess not only rote memorization but also critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. This holistic approach to assessment fosters deeper learning and better prepares students for their upcoming national examination and real-world challenges.

3. Supportive Environment: The school has created a supportive environment conducive to academic success. Teachers are readily available to provide guidance and support to students, helping them overcome any academic obstacles they may encounter.

B). CONTINUOUS TEACHING AND LEARNING FOR CLASS 7 AND 8

 *RECOMMENDATIONS*

1.Integrating technology into classroom instruction can enhance learning experiences by providing interactive resources, personalized learning opportunities, and real-world simulations. Utilizing educational apps, multimedia presentations, and online collaboration tools can engage students, promote digital literacy, and facilitate access to a diverse range of educational content, ultimately enhancing learning outcomes. Therefore, we recommend the school and its partners to work on getting well equipped computer classrooms and installation of Smart Boards in the classroom.

I also recommend the introduction of a science laboratory in the school. This can enrich the learning experience by providing hands-on experimentation opportunities. Students can engage in practical application of theoretical concepts, fostering deeper understanding and critical thinking skills. A well-equipped laboratory can also cultivate curiosity, creativity, and a passion for scientific inquiry among students, preparing them for future academic and professional endeavors in science-related fields.

Creating a home science classroom with an attached kitchen can be a fantastic addition to any educational setting.By following this recommendation you can create a vibrant home science classroom and kitchen that fosters learning, creativity, and practical life skills for students of all ages.

Above are some of the recommendations that will enable the school to progress more for effective teaching and learning to take place in the school. With the availability of the above recommendations, the students will no more face challenges in understanding some practical topics and will encourage them to be more creative and develop critical thinking skills.

Morgen findet unsere alljährliche Mitgliederversammlung in Blossin statt.

Neben all den vielen Themen, die das Schulprojekt betreffend besprochen werden müssen, wird nach 2jähriger Pause der Vorstand neu gewählt.

Workshop

Das deutsche Lehrerteam führte vor Ort gemeinsam mit den gambischen Lehrern einen Workshop zum Thema „Herausforderungen im Schulalltag“ durch. Es wurden Ideen entwickelt, um die Schule autononom führen zu können.

Traumschule

Die mitreisenden Lehrer sprachen mit Schülern der Grade 4 über ihre Traumschule.

Den Schülern war es allgemein sehr wichtig, eine gute Schulausbildung zu erhalten, um später Lehrer, Arzt, Anwalt o.ä. werden zu können. Möglichst Berufe, die Geld bringen, um ihre Familien unterstützen zu können.

Darüber hinaus gab es natürlich viele weitere Wünsche…lest selbst.

Reise

In diesen Wochen werden Mitglieder sowie Freunde und Interessierte des Vereins im Schulprojekt sein, um den Baufortschritt zu koordinieren, Sitzungen mit dem Schulleiter und dem gambischen Vorstand abzuhalten, aber auch um zu unterrichten.

Spendenlauf 2023

Am Freitag fand der alljährliche Spendenlauf in der Wilhelm Busch Grundschule Königs Wusterhausen statt.

Wir freuen uns sehr über das Engagement der Schüler, Eltern und Lehrer, die diesen traditionellen Lauf zu Gunsten des Schulprojektes durchführen.

Vier Schüler einer 6. Klasse spendeten für das Schulprojekt in Gambia.

In ihrer Freizeit verkauften sie selbstgemachte Waffeln. Sie übergaben dem Verein 71,77 Euro.
