Kambengo Nursery and Lower Basic School in Sukuta village, Kombo North District of the West Coast Region has recently held its annual graduation. The graduation  for the passing out of 33 pupils was a colourful ceremony held at the school ground. Established in 2006 with 30 children, the school this year is graduating 33 students from its Early Childhood Development (ECD).
Speaking at the ceremony, Mafugi Saidy, the headmaster of the school, underscored the significance of a graduation ceremony in the history of any school.

He indicated that the school provides free meals for all the children, noting that it also provides the pupils with a conducive learning environment with a view to enabling them achieve quality education.
“I can tell you that most of our students that are in grade one can read and write.” He thanked the sponsors from Germany and the teachers for their commitment in ensuring that quality and relevant education is achieved in the school.

He equally called on the graduating class to always maintain discipline and focus on their education.
Mama K. Bojang, on behalf of the Chief of the Kombo North spoke at length on the importance of education, saying education is the cornerstone of any meaningful development.
“Parents need to take the leading role if we want to achieve quality education in the country,” he stated
Mariama Mendy, on behalf of the graduating students, thanked the teachers for their efforts and guidance to reach this far.
She advised her colleagues to maintain discipline and take their education with seriousness.
